Deer Lake

It was a very rainy day in Deer Lake. I wouldn't have gone if it I didn't have to take photographs, but I was glad I did. Using a flash during the day gave this photo a sheen that you couldn't have seen otherwise.
This picture reminds me of how -one day- I would like an excellent SLR camera with a zoom lens. My current camera is a small, user friendly Pentax. I like this photo, but deep down, I wish I could have gotten closer.
The only disturbance is rain drops falling into the creek. Otherwise, it feels like a silent scene.
A favorite subject of mine is my brother. Always driving with a trunk full of hats, waterproof shells, and umbrellas year round, this day was his time to shine. I learned that I should experiment with angles more on this one. I wish I crouched down or stood on top of a log or something.
